Snow accumulates alongside the road during winter. In the spring and summer, melting water runs down the hillside eroding the snowpack. This leaves stunning arches in the snowpack where the melted water runs throughon its way downhill. This scene lasts only a day or two at most. We stopped, and Diana took a picture for you to see these arches. (And me.)
